• Dry clean or Hand wash ( see step-by-step guide below)
  • Steaming is ideal to get wrinkles out of delicate fabrics such as silk.
  • Iron on the backside of the fabric only with a cloth between your silk and the iron. Start on the lowest temperature setting and move up to Delicate/ Silk setting.
  • Preserve the beauty of your silk by storing it flat and unfolded.
  • Accessories and sprays should be used with extra care so that the quality of your silk products is not compromised.
  • Avoid contact with rain, water, perfumes and other chemicals, and entrust it to a professional dry cleaner when necessary.
  • Most detergents dry out silk fibers. Do not use products that contain bleach, whiteners or softeners.
  • Remove stains: Treat the stain as soon as possible – a dried stain will be much more difficult to remove. Check for stains and pretreat them before wash. Simply work a little of neutral or special detergent for silk directly to the stain with your fingers and allow it to work for at least 15 minutes before you hand wash the entire silk garment.
  • Due to the delicate nature of the fibers used, naturally-occurring ‘minor defects’ may be present.

How to Hand wash Silk at home

1. Only wash and rinse with lukewarm water <= 30°C/ 86°F.
Add a few drops of specialized silk/wool cleaner or neutral mild detergents like baby laundry detergents.

2. Soak for three minutes then agitate the delicates around in the water.
Rinse till it runs clear and all the detergent soap suds have been washed out.

3. Roll in a towel to soak up water, don’t rub or wring the delicates.
Hang or lay flat to dry, avoid direct heat or sunlight exposure.
